This position is remote and this person can sit anywhere in Canada with a preference for candidates in Quebec. We are a global team and prioritize great people over location.

What were looking for:

Technical skills

1. Frontend Development:

   1. Advanced proficiency in Vue.js and Nuxt.js

   2. Strong expertise in HTML CSS and JavaScript

   3. Deep experience with frontend state management (Vuex)

2. Backend Development:

   1. Expertlevel proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework

   2. Extensive experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

   3. Advanced knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL PostgreSQL)

3. FullStack Integration:

   1. Proven track record of integrating frontend and backend systems

   2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with highvolume and scalable systems

   3. Indepth knowledge of serverside rendering with Nuxt.js

4. Testing and Debugging:

   1. Mastery of unit testing and endtoend testing frameworks (Jest Cypress PHPUnit)

   2. Strong debugging and performance profiling skills

   3. Experience in developing load testing infrastructure and simulating highvolume traffic would be an asset

5. Version Control:

   1. Expertise with Git and version control workflows (GitFlow etc.)

6. Deployment and CI/CD:

   1. Advanced understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions)

   2. Extensive experience with deployment processes and tools

7. User Experience (UX):

   1. Deep understanding of UX principles and best practices

   2. Proven experience working closely with designers to implement usercentric features

8. Security:

   1. Comprehensive knowledge of web application security best practices

   2. Extensive experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms

Management skills

1. Coaching and Leadership:

   1. Lead a team of Full Stack Developers in designing developing testing and deploying highquality software solutions

2. Intercompany Collaboration and Communication:

   1. Collaborate with product managers designers and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

3. Industry Leader:

   1. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our technology stack and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Help design and implement complex software solutions using PHP/Laravel.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Review code to ensure it meets coding standards and best practices.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance the development process and software quality.
• Work closely with product management and engineering teams to define technical requirements and set project timelines.
• Help fix technicalrelated issues affecting customers.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest innovative solutions.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience

1. Professional Experience:

   • 5 years of experience in fullstack development roles

   • Experience in a B2B SaaS startup environment preferably as a technical lead or senior

   • Experience with email and marketing technology is a plus

   • Prior experience with generative AI would be considered a major asset

2. Educational Background:

   • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
