Career Consulting Partners has partnered with an AmLaw 200 law firm with 20 offices across the United States and 700 attorneys. We are seekinga highly skilled Associate to join our Healthcare team in our Los Angeles CA office. The ideal candidate will have 25 years of civil litigation experience and a familiarity with medical malpractice or elder abuse law. All candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.

We handle complex matters such as reimbursement disputes with private payors CMS and Medicaid. We also address allegations of elder abuse professional malpractice and issues involving vendors and business associates. Additionally we provide guidance to clients on maintaining compliance with CMS guidelines and federal and State healthcarespecific laws including Stark and AntiKickback HIPAA the Texas Medical Privacy Act the California Medical Privacy Act and other operational matters.

Ideal Candidate

• Providing legal counsel and advocacy on behalf of clients
• Handling all written discovery from service to completion
• Preparing for and attending trials as needed
• Communicating professionally with clients colleagues and opposing counsel
• Capable of developing and carrying out overall litigation strategy
• Proficient in all aspects of written discovery and depositions
• Experienced in preparing and arguing motions
• Able to handle pretrial preparation responsibilities
• Conducting legal research and analysis

Requirements:

• Candidate must be licensed to practice in CA and good standing
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• 2 5 yearsof Civil Litigation
• Must have familiarity with medical malpractice or elder abuse law

Salary/Compensation:

• $140000 $160000
• This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
• The salary within that range will depend on the selected candidates years of practice and experience.
