Controller Financial Operations

Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology Finance and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Birmingham Alabama in search of a highly talented Controller Financial Operations with a background in hospital accounting.

Job Summary:

The Controller assists the CFO in all daily financial operations including month end close review analysis and action planning daily key performance indicator monitoring as well as supply chain and revenue cycle operations oversight. This role is crucial for safeguarding hospital assets and ensuring financial integrity across the organization.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in longterm and shortterm financial planning processes
• Oversee finance teams for Lab and GME entities
• Ensure SOX compliance and conduct regular audits
• Complete timely monthend reporting and performance analysis
• Prepare annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Conduct revenue cost and service line analysis
• Work closely with CFO on financial operations initiatives

Qualifications:

I. Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required

II. Experience:

• Minimum 5 years working in hospital accounting or finance required
• 7 years of experience preferred

III. License(s)/Certification(s):

• CPA certification preferred but not required

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and healthcare financial operations
• Expertise in financial reporting budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office suite
