Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assemble install repair and maintain mechanical and electrical systems machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance troubleshoot machinery issues and ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret operation manuals maintain a schedule for inspections and fabricate parts for repairs and upgrades.
• Identify problems using precision measuring instruments clean and repair equipment and ensure a safe and organized work area.
• Upgrade or convert obsolete electrical components and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent education/experience in production maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing with strong skills in hydraulics pneumatics mechanical systems and PLCs.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics mechanical drawings and product manuals.
• Experience in machine setup installation and troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
• Ability to perform calibrations installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal decisionmaking and project management skills.
• Experience with inventory control and maintaining continuity among work teams.
• Knowledge of safety procedures ability to work a variable schedule and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Physical capability to perform job duties including lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to high temperatures and moving machinery.
