Azure Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:
The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. This includes designing cloudbased solutions deploying applications managing storage networking and ensuring the overall health and performance of the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture extensive experience with Azure services and a passion for leveraging the latest cloud technologies to solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Design implement and maintain scalable secure and highly available cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and manage infrastructure using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Deployment and Management: Deploy and manage virtual machines networks databases and other Azure resources to support business applications.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance availability and security of cloud infrastructure optimizing resources and costs.
• Security Management: Implement and manage security best practices in Azure including identity and access management encryption and network security.
• Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages like PowerShell Python or Azure CLI.
• Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity in the event of a failure.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure network configurations and application deployments.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development operations and security teams to integrate Azure services into application development and deployment workflows.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for cloud architectures configurations and processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay uptodate with the latest Azure services tools and best practices to continuously improve cloud solutions.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications: Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Azure services such as VMs Virtual Networks Azure Storage Azure SQL Database Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM Templates Terraform or Bicep.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell Python or Azure CLI.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including VPCs subnets firewalls VPN and DNS.
• ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
• Security: Deep understanding of cloud security best practices including identity management encryption and compliance frameworks.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working in crossfunctional teams.
• Agility: Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
