Complete Description:

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the assistance of a contract resource to serve as System Administrator to support the implementation and maintenance of portfolio applications.

This position will be responsible for performing tasks associated with the build and deploy processes for the NCFAST and Child Welfare applications by preparing and executing build scripts and troubleshooting build related issues for the portfolio applications. This responsibility involves building activities for many different test development and production environments utilised by the portfolio program applications. It encompasses web layer configurations Red hat Linux/CentOS and Windows operating systems the IBM WebSphere application configurations with clustering IBM IHS Web servers and other related products.

This resource will provide technical consultation to developers and solution engineers for branches & Merges Maintenance of the environment and its statuses.

Requirements

Required / Desired Skills:

Required 5 Years of Knowledge and experience of administering J2EE applications in WebSphere Application Server 8/9 Apache Tomcat and Jboss

Required 5 Years of Knowledge and experience working with following operating systems: AIX RHEL and Windows Servers.

Required 2 Years of Knowledge and experience in name and ipbased virtual hosts and clustering/loadbalancing technologies.

Required 5 Years of Knowledge and experience in J2EEspecific application hosting including VM tuning application tracing/debugging and application deployment.

Required 2 Years of knowledge and experience in container resource configuration (JDBC JMS et al) and security configuration.

Required 3 Years of knowledge and experience with J2EE application building/deployment techniques and tools including but not limited to Ant Maven Ivy etc

Required 2 Years of experience with automation technologies for the related platforms (OS and Application) such as Ansible UNIX shell script Perl Python etc.

Experience and/or certification in cloud platform like AWS Azure GCP is highly desired

Knowledge on Bitbucket/Git Configurations Branching and Merging is highly desired.
