Backend Developer Nodejs

Job Brief:

As a Backend Developer you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining backend services and APIs for our applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers product managers and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Node.js Nest.js Express.js SQL databases (specifically PostgreSQL) and TypeScript.


Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain backend services using Node.js Nest.js and Express.js.
• Implement data models database schemas and queries using SQL (PostgreSQL).
• Write clean maintainable and efficient code in TypeScript.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with serverside logic.
• Participate in code reviews design discussions and other team activities.
• Optimize applications for performance scalability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and nonproduction environments.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our development practices.

Skills Required:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience working as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js Nest.js Express.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational databases especially PostgreSQL and writing efficient SQL queries.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
