Application Engineer

Job Description:

As an Application Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining software applications to meet business needs and ensure high performance and reliability. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams including developers project managers and QA engineers to deliver innovative solutions that align with client requirements and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and implement software applications based on business requirements and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical solutions and application features.
• Write clean scalable and efficient code ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Develop and execute application testing plans including unit testing integration testing and performance testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues including debugging code fixing defects and optimizing performance.
• Implement and maintain application monitoring and logging systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and integrate applications with existing systems.
• Document application design code and development processes to ensure clear communication and maintainability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends recommending and implementing improvements to enhance application performance and functionality.
• Provide technical support and training to endusers and internal teams as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
• 3 years of experience as an Application Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java C# Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with database systems and technologies including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex application issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with application security practices and tools.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
