Electrical Estimator

This is a fulltime job based in Evansville IN.

• Prepare cost estimates for various projects including conceptual designbuild and general tender work.
  
• Independently calculate materials labor and equipment costs based on proposals plans and specifications including project closings.
  
• Review data to determine material and labor requirements creating detailed itemized lists.
  
• Draft requests for quotations to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  
• Utilize estimating software (e.g. Accubid Classic or Anywhere) for precise cost calculations.
  
• Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to establish indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
  

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM:

• A bachelor s degree from a fouryear college or university equivalent trade experience and 35 years of electrical estimating experience in the electrical contracting industry.
  
• Experience in developing electrical service quotes/estimates in a similar role.
  
• Knowledge of electrical subtrades scope of work.
  
• Solid understanding of electrical drawings and the ability to interpret schematics and P&IDs.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel); knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software.
