Responsibilities
1. Overall to in charge for fleets Marine Operation & Technical matters.
2. To plan schedule & implement Companys Safety Management system and HSSE procedure.
3. To ensure all vessels are maintained to PNG National and International standards.
4. To supervise vessels repair maintenance and docking to ensure quality of work.
5. To inspect vessels at regular intervals all maintenance works carried out as per planned and ensure
vessels are on operational mode status.
6. To conduct technical audit / visit of vessels to ensure compliance to Manufacturers Specifications
and Companys Safety Management system.
7. To engage with CLASS regarding survey inspection and NMSA requirements.
8. To engage with others related parties (PSC NMSA) third party surveyor PMI for insurance claim
purpose.
9. Attend and coordinate on operation and crewing matters (sign on/off travelling medical etc).
10. Briefing vessel crews on marine safety and company circulars.
11. Prepare training material modules for National crews as per NMSA requirements.
12. Vessel management & monitoring incident investigation and reporting.
13. Attend and coordinate on vessels defect maintenance work and prepare Technical Closeout Report.
14. Perform fuel consumption verification and ensure fuel declaration accurately.
15. Handling procurement matter and delivery of spares and material to vessels.
16. Inventory issuing and receiving.
17. Ship spares monthly stock counting and updating.
18. Liaison with clients cocontractors charterers and government agencies.
19. Attend and ground assist to process shipping formalities on behalf of Shippers Consignees and
Agencies based on SOP and documentation fulfillment set by Management.
20. Any other special assignment delivered by Management.
Requirements
1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum holder Certificate Of Competency 2nd Class Marine Engineer (Foreign Going Unlimited Voyage).
3. At least 3 years in handling Landing Craft (LCT) and Tugboats and Barges.
4. Relevant knowledge of vessel operation and maintenance.
5. Positive working attitude.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Selfmotivated with high degree of commitment and time pressure to meet deadlines and objectives.
8. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
9. Ability to work 24/7 during normal and critical operation.
