Truss Assembler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detailoriented and skilled Truss Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling wooden or metal trusses used in construction projects ensuring precision quality and compliance with safety standards. You will work in a fastpaced environment following blueprints and using various hand and power tools to complete each project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints work orders and diagrams to assemble trusses accurately.
• Operate power tools and hand tools to cut shape and join wood or metal materials.
• Position and secure lumber or metal pieces in jigs to form assemblies.
• Measure cut and assemble components to ensure they meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
• Inspect completed trusses for accuracy and ensure compliance with company standards and building codes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow and meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and protocols.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in truss assembly carpentry or related field preferred but not required. Willing to train motivated candidates.
• Skills:
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to insert weight.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods lift heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions including outdoor settings and temperature fluctuations.
