Job Description

Project/client: Public

Project duration: 4 months

Start date: 01.10.2024

Location: remote from within EU (Lithuania preferred)

Role: We are seeking experienced Java Programmers to join a development project for a key public sector information system. The role involves working on the enhancement and maintenance of a critical system that manages social support services and ensures the proper registration and distribution of social assistance across the country.

MustHave Requirements:

Proficiency in Java 21 with knowledge of Java 22 features as an advantage

Experience developing services using RESTful/RESTish API without reliance on frameworks

Understanding and practical application of Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns

Familiarity with messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ AWS SNS/SQS Kafka or similar

Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases

Ability to write clean testcovered code

Lithuanian language proficiency

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with the Gradle build tool

Frontend development experience

Familiarity with public sector projects or social support systems

English: upperintermediate

Location: EU
