Job Description
Electrician
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Solar Electrician with expertise in battery installation photovoltaic (PV) systems and Main Panel Upgrades (MPU). The ideal candidate will serve in a service role providing essential maintenance and repair services for our solar installations. This position includes the benefit of taking a company vehicle home with a provided gas card.
Tasks Duties and Responsibilities
Working Conditions
The Electrician works outside with main duties performed on roofs and ladders in hot and cold weather conditions. Additionally work is also performed inside in crawl spaces and attics. In both environments there will be repeated and extended periods of standing kneeling crouching climbing pulling/pushing more than 50 lbs. squatting and reaching above the shoulders.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience as an Electrician
A Journeyman Electrical License / State Certified Electrician preferred
3 years in the solar electric industry preferred
Certified Battery Installer for Enphase Tesla SolarEdge (Duracell training will be provided).
Formal apprenticeship and/or vocational training
Proven experience in solar panel installation battery systems and MPUs.
Strong understanding of electrical systems wiring and safety standards.
Must possess a current valid Drivers license
Working knowledge of the NEC required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Proficiency in MS Office
Very strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Able to work an adjusting schedule and respond to emergencies
Projects a professional appearance
Experience reading interpreting oneline drawings and electrical schematics
Applicants should be in good physical shape with no lifting restrictions comfortable using hand tools power tools using ladders and working on roofs and have reliable transportation to and from work.
Prolonged periods of standing and being on feet
Must be able to work with heights; on rooftops and climbing ladders
Must be able to lift 50lbs75lbs
- Must be able to work alone and as part of leading a team
- Must be able to lift and reach above your head bend and twist
- Must be able to stand for more than three hours at a time without a break
- One year of relevant experience required
- High school diploma or the equivalent required
