Job Summary:
Sitting within the Recovery Programme of Slough Borough Council this role will participate in the delivery of the council s Recovery programme through identification and analysis of opportunities for service improvement and efficiencies and by leading projects included in the programme.
This will contribute to the delivery of SBC s strategic aims and derive from the development and implementation of the TOM.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
The role will proactively work across the Council in implementing the key design principals of prevention and reduction of demand through customer/community enabling automation of processes improved access to services and information for customers earliest possible resolution of customer enquiries and a streamlined & efficient approach with common technology processes and roles.
Supporting operational leads to develop endtoend process reviews and redesign processes that lead to easier customer journeys; utilise technology to allow residents to selfserve ; capture data that will help us improve services further; and drive out demonstrable and measurable efficiencies.
Critical to these endtoend reviews will be to model and promote a One Council view ensuring that dependencies with other functions/processes are recognised.
Essential Experience Required:
Experience of working collaboratively with Senior Management politicians and other key stakeholders evidencing credibility and impact as a leader is essential.
Experience With producing business requirement documentation including workflow diagrams user cases and user stories endto end process reviews using value stream mapping (VSM) or business process reengineering (BPR)
Essential Qualification Required:
Qualified in Project Management (such as APMP or Prince2 or P3O or MSP) or Business Analysis or be able to evidence more than 3 years experience in complex organisation(s) is essential.
Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience is desirable.
Additional information to note:
Working hours: 37 hours per week.
The role is hybrid. The worker will be expected to come into the Slough offices 2 to 3 times a week
