The nanny will be responsible for providing attentive care to children in a safe nurturing and stimulating environment. In addition to typical childcare duties the nanny will be required to drive the children to and from school extracurricular activities appointments and other outings as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare
- Supervise and care for children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Plan and engage children in ageappropriate activities that promote their physical emotional and cognitive development.
- Assist with homework playtime and educational activities.
- Prepare meals and snacks for the children.
- Help with bathing dressing and ensuring personal hygiene.
- Follow daily routines including naps bedtime and mealtime schedules.
- Driving Responsibilities
- Safely transport children to and from school activities appointments and outings.
- Plan efficient routes and manage time effectively to ensure punctuality.
- Ensure the vehicle is safe clean and wellmaintained.
- Follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Household Support
- Assist with light household duties related to the children such as tidying up after meals organizing play areas and doing the children s laundry.
- Keep track of and restock childrelated supplies such as diapers snacks and school items.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children s activities behavior and any concerns.
Health and Safety
- Prioritize the health safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Follow any specific instructions related to allergies medications or special needs of the children.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Previous experience as a nanny or in childcare is preferred. Experience in driving children is a plus.
Skills:
- Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of child development and the ability to engage children in ageappropriate activities.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with both children and parents.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred or required based on family s needs).
