Job Title: Injection Blow Mold Set Up Technician
Pay: 25 30 / hr DOE
Shift: First Shift
Responsibilities & Procedures:
- Perform and adjust complete mold setup for any IBM machine.
- Assist with 1st article setups including machine and conveyor operations.
- Help in the mold shop with mold PMs and cleaning.
- Set up bottles for conveying and flaming systems on any IBM machine.
- Maintain equipment by coordinating maintenance and following manufacturers instructions and established procedures.
- Ensure proper setup and operation of SPC hook ups on machines.
- Contribute to team efforts.
- Perform PM work on molds in machines to increase efficiency and reduce blocked cavities.
- Support and adhere to all BERRY safety policies.
- Follow and support all BERRY GMPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
- General mechanical ability or equivalent onthejob training.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Work twelve (12) hours per day with three 15minute breaks and one 30minute lunch. Ability to work overtime on short notice.
- Work safely in the vicinity of open flames hot plastic oil and metal (approximately 450480 degrees). Possible exposure to dust and odors from substances like oil molten plastics degreasers and cleaning solvents.
- Work in a noise level usually 90dB and above requiring ear protection.
- Work around sharp edges of machinery and moving machine components.
- Wear personal protective equipment: rubber soled/steeltoed shoes ear plugs safety glasses hard hat gloves and forearm sleeves.
- Occasionally lift 1050 lbs. and carry approximately 50 lbs. for 100 ft twice a day. Push/pull a 1000 lb. mold into position on a machine table.
- Stand on average 10 hours a day.
- Detect visual defects in bottles and distinguish shades in color.
- Hear and recognize various sounds such as emergency machine shutdown alarms.
- Bend and twist at a 90 angle about 50% of the day.
- Read and understand all work procedures and instructions.
