Travel Nurse

We are offering a Med/Surg Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract position in Cleveland OH with the possibility of a contract length of up to 24 weeks. Responsibilities: As a MedSurg RN you will care for adults before and after medical procedures and surgeries. Facilities hiring MedSurg travel nurses include hospitals outpatient clinics specialty surgery centers and longterm care facilities. Your duties will involve daily patient assessments postsurgical evaluations wound care and continuous monitoring of patient health. You will also assess treatments administer medications and coordinate routine aspects of care. MedSurg nurses typically manage a larger patient load compared to intensive care nurses often handling 57 patients at a time.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• At least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty before starting travel assignments
• Valid nursing license from Ohio or a compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA is recommended and may be required
• NIHSS certification required
• Specialtyrelated certifications are preferred and may be required
• Completed profile
• Professional references

Additional Requirements:

• Night shift: 3x12s 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
• Traveler must work at least every other holiday
• PBDS Assessment is waived
• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation with acceptable scores required for both
