The Position
Reporting to the Regional Director Ecommerce based in Singapore. This position will work in a boutique size environment in Tokyo office and responsible to work with distributors or agency partners in market to support the growth of the company official presence on Rakuten / Amazon Japan and any other eCommerce marketplace across Japan.
Scope includes but not limited to:
- Accelerate online presence of our company at all relevant marketplaces (Rakuten / Amazon)
- Initiate and manage partnerships with external agencies to ensure fast penetration and best in class practices
- Drive sell out by implementing available platform tools
- Oversee and coordinate internal fulfilment of (consumer) orders
- Work in collaboration with distributors and agencies to optimize the UI/UX of the company official stores across all ecommerce platform to constantly improve efficiency to drive conversion
- Plan and execute promotion plan with distributors and Ecommerce platform by utilizing all available marketing tools within the platform to carry out effective programs to achieve overall sales targets
- Stay up to date and current to the online retail ecosystem and continually adapt strategy and tactics to stay ahead of competition
- Develop standardize KPIs to track the progress
- Work closely in collaboration with ecommerce and digital marketing managers across the region to align and strategize online marketing programs
- Social marketing / event support for hospital milk business (only if required)
Requirements
The Candidate
- Bachelors Degree in marketing or Business
- Minimum 6 years experience in online retail environment & Minimum 3 years experience managing ecommerce platform / marketplaces in Japan
- Experience in working with agencies and distributors in a multicultural environment
- Good understanding in Google analytics Google adwords SEM SEO and A/B Testing of adverts
- Other knowledge: Min 3 years experience working with digital marketing tools including Search engine Marketing platforms Web analytics and google analytics
- Strong ability to build effective internal and external relationships and to influence change
- Strong business data analytics and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in developing insights leading to understanding of customer and consumer behaviour
- Ability to report all KPIs marketing performance user behaviour marketing tests etc and makes effective recommendations
- Track record of delivering results in a fastpaced environment
- Bilingual in Japanese & English is mandatory as position is required to report to English speaking supervisor in Singapore and managing Japanese speaking stakeholders and major ecommerce marketplace in Japan
