Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant with a strong desire to grow into a Team Leader role. In this position you will play a pivotal role in managing accounting functions mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements. Your goal will be to develop leadership skills while ensuring the highest level of accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements tax returns and related documents.
  • Review financial reports for accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Develop and optimize accounting processes and procedures for efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards tax laws and internal policies.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Preparation of annual tax returns & financial accounts for:
    • Individuals
    • Sole Traders
    • Partnerships
    • Companies
    • Trusts

    Skills & Experience

    • 5 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting.
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MS Office.
    • Ability to manage a team of less experienced accountants.
    • Strong understanding of Australian taxation laws and regulations.
    • Excellent analytical communication and problemsolving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
