Junior IT Developer - American University of Bahrain

Position Overview:

The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) is seeking a dynamic and proactive Junior IT Developer for a permanent position. This role involves developing and managing applications systems SharePoint and the website. The successful candidate will also work extensively with Microsoft Power Platform specifically Power Apps and Power BI to enhance our technological capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Develop and maintain applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
• Data Visualization: Design and create powerful data visualizations and reports using Power BI.
• Software Solutions: Assist in the development and implementation of software solutions using .NET frameworks as needed.
• Database Management: Perform SQL database querying and management to support app and report development.
• System Management: Manage and maintain various IT applications and systems.
• SharePoint Management: Oversee the management and administration of SharePoint.
• Website Management: Manage the companys website ensuring it is uptodate and functional.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with team members on various software development and data analytics projects.
• Code Review: Participate in code reviews with a focus on enhancing Power Apps and Power BI implementations.
• Troubleshooting: Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Microsoft Power Platform.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Microsoft Power Tools .NET technologies and data analytics best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Skills:
• Strong interest and foundational skills in Microsoft Power Tools particularly Power Apps and Power BI.
• Basic understanding of .NET programming languages (C# ASP.NET etc.).
• Familiarity with SQL and experience in database querying.
• Soft Skills:
• Solid problemsolving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings.
• Eagerness to learn adapt and contribute in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
