Hours: 8:30am5:00pm in person in St. Pere de Ribes.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Middle Years Learning Guide you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing transformative learning experiences. You will cocreate the Middle Years Program in our new location St. Pere de Ribes that nurtures a love for learning and equips students with essential skills for success. Additionally you will help us create a positive culture of learning in a new location. The start date is ideally late August 2024.

Tasks

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Program Design: Codesign and lead a comprehensive program for 11 to 13yearolds integrating literacy numeracy and transdisciplinary learning experiences. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop innovative studentcentered curriculum.
• Learning Space Development: Oversee the design and development of engaging learning environments tailored to the needs of middle years learners.
• Parent Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with parents providing regular updates on student progress and program developments.
• Training and Coaching: Train and coach fellow learning guides to effectively implement literacy strategies and facilitate engaging learning experiences.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively within a crossfunctional agile team to develop and refine learning experiences. Participate in training sessions and coaching to support continuous professional growth.

Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Educational Expertise: Experience working with 10 to 14 yearolds in innovative learning environments. Demonstrated ability to connect with students and build trusting relationships.
• Teaching Certificate: Officially recognised in Spain or another country for upper primary or lower secondary with a certificated teaching license.
• Special Needs: Experience with Learning Differences would be a plus.
• Language Proficiency: C2 level of English proficiency with preference given to candidates proficient in Spanish or Catalan C2.
• Innovative Mindset: Capacity to draw from a wide range of learning methodologies and adapt them to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Agile Collaboration: Ability to thrive in a fastpaced agile environment embracing failure as an opportunity for growth and iteration.
