SUPERVISOR/JUNIOR BUSINESS SERVICES MANAGER – HYBRID ROLE LARGE GOLD COAST CA FIRM (Job ID: 403)

Our client is one of the Gold Coast finest CA firms that offers a comprehensive range of services to support businesses at every stage of growth.

In addition to supporting their substantial long standing client base with their compliance needs they also assist with business startups mergers and acquisitions company secretary state planning forensic accounting insolvency and valuations cloud solutions for paperless conversions and realtime inventory tracking.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Work closely with the Partner and Senior Manager in one of their tax business and advisory teamsto manage a portfolio of complex business clients with multimilliondollar turnovers.

The role is a blend of handson highend work and supervisory responsibilities ideally suited to a Senior Accountant with some supervisory experience who wants to take their career to the next level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee the performance of a team of tax compliance professionals ensuring compliance deadlines are met and operational targets achieved
  • Provide highlevel oversight and support including training junior staff and ensuring the quality of work
  • Engage directly with complex clients including handling tax returns and managing a portfolio with 50 entities
  • Participate in business development activities including drafting proposals and maintaining client relationships


EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Degreequalified accountant with at least 1 year’ experience in a supervisory role within a midtier or specialist botique business advisory firm
  • CA/CPA certified with a strong background in tax compliance and advisory services
  • Proven experience managing a client list including confident communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to manage client relationships effectively
  • Ability to handle complex business scenarios including mergers and acquisitions litigation and dispute resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to train and develop junior staff with strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Familiarity with highlevel tax issues such as Div 7A CGT GST and FBT
