Senior Financial Reporting Specialist mfd 12-month project

I am partnering with an international manufacturer of 3D printers scanners and 3D software. Due to continued growth in Germany they need support from a Senior Financial Report Specialist (m/f/d). This is a 12month limited project focusing on updating the statutory financial reports tax returns and other submissions for the German entities.

Tasks

The ideal candidate will be an expert in German GAAP tax and statutory submissions with extensive experience in managing and correcting financial reporting for German businesses and collaborating with auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Planning:

• Assess the status of statutory tax and other audit and reporting progress for one dormant and two active German entities.

Statutory Financial Reporting:

• Ensure the accuracy completeness and compliance of financial statements in accordance with German GAAP and other local regulations.
• Collaborate with local consultants to prepare and review statutory financial statements and tax returns
• Facilitate and manage statutory audit engagements

Compliance and Taxation:

• Ensure compliance with all German statutory and tax requirements.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to address any compliance issues and ensure accurate tax filings.

Internal Controls:

• Assess and strengthen internal controls related to statutory reporting and tax submissions.
• Implement best practices to prevent future discrepancies and ensure ongoing compliance with German GAAP and tax regulations.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional designation.
• Fluent in German and English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expert knowledge of German GAAP tax regulations and statutory submission requirements.
• Solid experience in German statutory accounting and tax with a proven track record of managing financial reporting and/or audit engagements for German businesses.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute complex financial reporting projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Proficient in digital tools and technologies and willing to learn and adapt to new systems.
• Solutionoriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to thrive and work independently in a fastpaced dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
