Enterprise Data Architect

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our team and lead the development of our enterprise data architecture. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data management principles data modeling and enterprise architecture frameworks. As an Enterprise Data Architect you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that align with our business strategy ensuring data integrity scalability and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture Design & Development:
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture including data models data flows and data integration strategies.
  • Design and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality consistency and security across the organization.
  • Create and enforce data management standards guidelines and best practices for data architecture and design.
• Strategic Data Management:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable and sustainable data solutions.
  • Develop and implement a data strategy that supports business goals and drives innovation.
  • Ensure that data architecture aligns with the overall enterprise architecture and technology strategy.
• Data Integration & Interoperability:
  • Design and oversee the implementation of data integration solutions ensuring seamless data flow between systems and applications.
  • Evaluate and recommend data integration tools technologies and platforms to support enterprise data needs.
  • Implement data interoperability standards to facilitate data sharing and collaboration across departments.
• Data Governance & Compliance:
  • Establish and manage data governance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR CCPA).
  • Define data ownership and stewardship roles ensuring accountability for data quality and management.
  • Implement data security measures and protocols to protect sensitive information and prevent data breaches.
• Data Modeling & Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain logical and physical data models that support the organizations data requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends patterns and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Collaborate with data scientists analysts and engineers to design and optimize data structures for analytics and reporting.
• Technology Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure that data architecture is integrated with IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to data architects engineers and other team members.
  • Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data architecture data management or related roles with at least 3 years in an enterprise data architect role.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in data modeling database design and data integration techniques.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and platforms (e.g. SQL NoSQL databases ETL tools data warehouses data lakes).
  • Experience with cloudbased data solutions (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark).
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF Zachman) is a plus.
• Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) TOGAF or AWS Certified Big Data Specialty are preferred.
