Pre-Production Coordinator

The opportunity

Were currently looking for a PreProduction Coordinator to join our PreProduction Build team in order to support the build of prototype vehicles within Polestar UK. Someone with a passion for electric mobility an interest in technology and a desire to create the change we know is needed.

This position is located at Ansty Beech Coventry United Kingdom with occasional travel to MIRA Nuneaton.

The responsibilities

In this role youll be expected to form a close working relationship with the workshop build team and youll be instrumental in getting vehicles built reworked and ready for handover on time and to quality to support an aggressive vehicle testing plan. See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas youll be responsible for:

• Managing issues raised during the build working with engineering to identify quick containments
• Understanding & coordinating the reworks of vehicles across 3x sites/countries
• Ensuring the Operations timing plan is realistic for the workshop
• Track the workshop budget and support the workshop to order consumables as required.

The ideal candidate

In order to succeed in this role and at Polestar in general there are a few characteristics youll need to have. Tenacity. Flexibility. Curiosity. The ability to take the initiative to meet deadlines and requirements and to abandon ideas when theyre not feasible.

Experience working in/for medium volume vehicle projects would be advantageous but excellent communication and coordination skills are a must. We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic individual selfmotivated and able to work well under own initiative. They also need to be able to remain focused under pressure and at ease working with a crossfunctional team of engineers and suppliers.

In addition it would be useful to have:

• An Engineering degree
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office
• Experience within prototype delivery (and planning) is desirable
