Job Description

Pay: $300k $350k Total Compensation

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Physician or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to join our hospital's esteemed Senior Behavioral Health Unit. The chosen candidate will work collaboratively with our experienced Medical Director to provide exceptional care and support to elderly patients facing various mental health challenges.

Job Responsibilities:
•Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of geriatric patients presenting with behavioral health concerns.
•Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
•Monitor and oversee the implementation of treatment plans adjusting as necessary for optimal patient outcomes.
•Provide compassionate and patientcentered care to enhance the overall mental wellbeing of elderly individuals in our care.
•Actively participate in case conferences team meetings and quality improvement initiatives to promote a holistic approach to patient care.
•Work in tandem with the experienced Medical Director to ensure the highest standards of medical care and adherence to all relevant regulations and policies.
•Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated with the latest advancements in geriatric behavioral health.

Job Qualifications:
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required. New Graduates accepted.
• Board certification in Psychiatry or Geriatric Psychiatry (if applicable) is preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of New Hampshire (or ability to obtain prior to starting).
• Proven experience in geriatric behavioral health assessment diagnosis and treatment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and patients' families.
• Empathy and understanding towards the unique mental health challenges faced by the elderly population.
• Strong commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
