Business Development Associate - Colombia

Attesa Coffee is a startup specialty green coffee sourcing and distribution company headquartered in Amsterdam Netherlands. We work directly with producers at the origin to bring our customers (specialty coffee roasters) highquality coffees safely on time and consistently with the use of efficient digital frameworks. We believe in traceability through the chain and are highly committed to transparency towards all our stakeholders.

We are looking for a performancedriven individual with a strong passion for coffee to join our team as a Business Development Associate.

Tasks

• Develop and maintain relationships with green coffee providers such as specialty coffee producers / farmers coffee cooperatives exporters in South and Central America
• Further develop relationships with green coffee providers in South and Central America
• Communicate with coffee providers to obtain specific coffee traceability information such as coffee information farm information farm pictures etc. in an organized manner
• Conduct market research on specialty coffee producers and origins as well as gather information about coffee events
• Communicate with management and sales team on coffee information and farm details
• Assist logistics team in managing transport / freight related communication to ensure shipments are moved in a timeline manner
• Prepare and translate marketing materials for external communications with partners
• Responsible for launching sales related communication material and efficiently following up on information in the CRM to optimize.
• Assist in preparation of offerlists and other related commercial documents related to coffee sourcing process
• Travel to coffee origins / farms in South and Central America to build sourcing network

Requirements

• Prior experience / knowledge / understanding in specialty coffee
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Spanish is required
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Canva
• Ability / preference to work in a dynamic / entrepreneurial environment
• Willingness to learn and develop a career in the Coffee Industry
• Team player/problem solver resourceful in creating solutions
• Laptop / Computer; consistent fast internet connection
• Must be based in Colombia

Nice to Have:

• Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business Marketing Communication or similar
• Big ideas and persistent curiosity is a good extra
