Overall Purpose:
The job holder will manage the factorys daytoday operations. This includes overseeing production ensuring quality standards managing staff and optimising processes to achieve production targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing management and a proven track record of improving operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee all factory operations including production Material control maintenance quality control and logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency reduce costs and improve product quality.
- Manage the factory budget controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance quality and other key metrics.
- Coordinate with other departments including procurement sales and engineering to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
- Lead train and motivate factory staff fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in manufacturing management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Ability to analyze data and make datadriven decisions.
- Solid experience in making production plans Material requirements planning and inventory control is an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication Negotiation and coordination skills are required.
- Have knowledge of related systems such as SAP PP etc
- Must be well versed and have knowledge of Microsoft Excel(Viso Icon Management statistical analysis function tradeoff function pivot table )
- Must be familiar with the material properties of Hardware Home appliances and vacuum flasks products procurement channels and distribution
- Must have a good understanding of the process flow of hardware products electrical products and vacuum flask injection moulding products.
- Proficient in production planning material control inventory management purchasing strategy and process quality control

A first degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or any relevant discipline. Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. ACCA/CPA. Knowledge of Stock Accounting/Inventory Management support especially for petroleum products, will be an added advantage.
