The successful candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment o n marine vessels. Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Install and maintain electrical systems on various types of marine vessels.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical equipment and systems.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on marine vessels.
- Repair or replace faulty wiring fixtures and equipment as necessary.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed.
- Prepare reports on electrical issues and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 25 years of experience as a Marine Electrician.
- Extensive experience with marine electrical systems and equipment.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems including AC and DC circuits.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Certification:
- Relevant certifications or licenses in marine electrical work are preferred.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
