Today we are hiring a Leader Of Subcontracts for our client in Fort Wayne IN.
The Subcontracts Lead is responsible for the overall lifecycle of a subcontracts from the initial sourcing and acquisition strategy development through the solicitation negotiation award cost and schedule management subcontractor execution and closeout steps.
Subcontracts cover a variety of customer segments including U.S. Federal Government Commercial International Governments International Commercial and Defense both domestic and international.
Subcontracts is an incredibly diverse landscape of technologies products and services for development articles production technical & professional services requirements.
Subcontracts leverages the variety of subcontract types (i.e fixedprice cost reimbursement time & material labor hour etc.) to best manage risk for both our company and our customers.
Typical management and administrative responsibilities include collaboration on the acquisition strategy and sourcing development of the subcontract requirements (i.e. SOW development) generation of the solicitation / request for proposal source selection negotiation (price schedule technical terms & conditions) establishment of the official subcontracts file and its required documentation management of supplier cost schedule performance and collaboration with engineering on the technical management of the subcontractor.
Other duties include change management risk management management of customer / government owned property transportation and delivery invoice processing / acceptance of articles / work performed and payment.
The Subcontracts also supports their business development activities on new pursuits and proposals by initiating the Subcontract Process from the beginning steps of negotiating nondisclosure and/or teaming agreements and performing the appropriate due diligence on potential bidders in terms of supplier risk financial stability technical capability and quality management system assessments. Subcontracts support government customer and internal audits as required.
