Role Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Advisor or Patent Agent with a Ph.D. in biological sciences to join the Intellectual Property Prosecution team at our clients Boston headquarters. The selected individual will engage in a variety of patentrelated activities primarily focusing on patent prosecution freedomtooperate analysis and due diligence. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with innovative and cuttingedge biotechnology to secure patent protection and develop IP portfolios.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patent portfolios and coordinate prosecution with foreign associates in various jurisdictions.
• Draft office action responses and prosecute patent applications.
• Collaborate with scientists and inventors to draft patent applications.
• Assess scientific literature patents and patent application documents in various biology fields.
• Conduct patentlandscape and freedomtooperate searches and assist with analysis.
• Work with investors to conduct IP diligence for potential investments.
• Assist with IP diligence on biotech initial public offerings and other capital markets transactions.
• Collaborate effectively with team members working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firms published guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree in Immunology Molecular Biology Biochemistry or related fields.
• Patent prosecution experience preferred.
• Experience drafting patent applications de novo from invention disclosure forms and/or inventor interviews.
• Strong ability to present scientific concepts analysis reasoning and conclusions to both scientists and nonscientists.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Serviceoriented mindset.
