Salary: $90000 $140000

We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Plumbing/HVAC Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a local professional with a stable work history and possess a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (BSME). The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of handson experience in commercial plumbing and HVAC design estimating and project management. Proficiency in project management and a proven track record of successful large commercial projects are essential.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project schedules ensuring timely completion
Coordinate with architects engineers and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met
Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency

Estimate/take off and price from plans for proposals

On site look at jobs and price them in the Plumbing and AC field

Technical help to the ac/heating divisions technicians with an understanding of controls and engineering to bring the best product to the customer and solve the problem

Assist in setting up the contract jobs with materials and labor

Communicate with potential clients to create a relationship and sell jobs

Look for opportunities to bring value to our customers with new products and technology

Understanding the New York laws and regulations to assist our customers in compliance
Manage project budgets and track expenses
Prepare and submit project reports
Ensure compliance with building codes regulations and safety standards
Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field preferred
• 57 years of experience
• 3 years of experience in a supervising or managerial role
• 5 years of project management experience
• Proven track record of managing projects
• Have a working knowledge of the cost of goods and services
• Have a demonstrated ability to solicit evaluate and manage the price schedule and quality of objectives of individual projects
• Understand the sequencing of work and the strategy of creating effective project schedules
• Understand project cost control and change order management
• Have the ability to prioritize large volumes of complex work to meet established deadlines
• Must possess OSHA 30hr certification
• PMP certified or committed to obtain it within 12 months
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
• Proven leadership ability and detail oriented
• Excellent time management and problems solving skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Possess dispute resolution skills
• Proven safety knowledge and skills
• Possess and able to maintain a valid drivers license
