Job Description

We are working with a highly reputable, award-winning farming enterprise specialising in soft fruit, to recruit a Sprayer Operator at their beautiful farm in West Sussex.
As a sprayer operator, you will be responsible for overseeing daily spray operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to high standards. You will ensure compliance with Health and safety requirements, while also managing checks and maintenance of spraying robots and equipment.
The Job:
-Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all work follows health and safety regulations, including adherence to risk assessments, accurate record-keeping, and safe management of chemical stores and equipment.
- Pesticide Application: Oversee the proper storage, transportation, and application of pesticides, calibrate equipment, and maintain compliance with statutory requirements and COSHH assessments.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre-use checks and general maintenance on spray equipment and machinery, including annual testing preparation and thorough cleaning.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keep all records up-to-date for spraying operations and audits, report any equipment issues or PPE needs to the line manager, and ensure proper disposal of pesticide containers.
- Professional Development and Best Practices: Maintain NRoSO registration, collect CPD points, stay informed about best practices in spray coverage and pest control, and enhance knowledge through training.
The Candidate:
-Spraying qualifications are highly desirable (PA1-PA6 etc)
-Experience with robotic spraying would be beneficial but full training will be provided
-Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays
-UK/EU driving license
