Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Peer Recovery Coach you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders and mental health challenges. This position involves providing mobile communitybased support to clients utilizing a peertopeer approach to inspire hope promote empowerment and facilitate positive change.

We are currently offering this position parttime with the potential for transitioning into a fulltime role based on performance and mutual fit. This position involves a unique hybrid work model; The role encompasses both inperson duties (Denver Metro Colorado) and remote responsibilities to provide flexibility and accommodate diverse work preferences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Peer Support:

    • Share personal experiences of recovery to establish rapport and build trust with clients.

    • Conduct outreach activities in the community to connect with individuals struggling with substance use disorders and mental health issues.

    • Provide Peer support in various settings including homes community centers hospitals and other locations where clients may need assistance.

    • Act as a role model and mentor to inspire hope and demonstrate that recovery is possible.

    • Assist the client in identifying their strengths values and goals using a clientdirected approach.

    • Understand and follow HardBeauty policies and procedures as well as HardBeauty best practices as outlined in the company manual.

Peer Recovery Coaches are encouraged to be in active recovery and be engaging in a recovery community either within or outside the organization. HardBeauty employees are welcome (and encouraged!) to participate in any/all programming offered especially as it increases personal development supports emotional wellness and provides opportunity to decompress which overall builds recovery capital and strengthens the coaches ability to manage their professional workload.

    • Positively contribute to the financial health of the organization by ensuring delivery of billable services submitting notes and invoices in a timely fashion and by utilizing monitoring and collecting data for the purpose of decisionmaking and program improvements.

  1. Advocacy:

    • Advocate for clients within the community to ensure access to appropriate services and support.

    • Empower clients to actively participate in decisionmaking processes related to their recovery journey.

    • Be a resource broker for clients by providing resources and guiding them in finding resources on their own.

  1. Crisis Intervention:

    • Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging times collaborating with other professionals and services as needed.

    • Assist clients in developing coping strategies and resilience to manage crises effectively.

  1. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions progress and services provided.

    • Submit regular reports on client outcomes and program effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Completion of CCAR Recovery Coach Academy Professionalism and Ethics or CHOICES Recovery Certification and/or National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various pathways to recovery.
  • Valid Drivers license and ability to drive to the needed location within the time frame set.
  • Demonstrate strong core values that resonate with the companys core values of Honesty Integrity and Communication.
  • Effective communication skills as necessary to conduct business with clients peers supervisors and community stakeholders.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills strong organization skills ability to work independently with minimal direction from supervisor
  • Must be comfortable using Zoho apps Zoom and a digital calendar.
  • Preference to those with at least 12 months prior work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years active and engaged personal recovery from Substance Use Disorder and/or Mental Illness
