Job Description
Zscaler Engineering Architect
Location Hybrid 3 days a week onsite at one of the following locations: Louisville KY Allentown PA or Providence RI.
Contract 6 months contract to hire
**Position Overview:**
Our client implemented Zscaler a few years ago alongside Cisco primarily during the pandemic. However the implementation didnt meet the desired standards necessitating a migration away from Cisco towards Zscaler. The objective is to replace Cisco with Zscaler across all fronts devise a comprehensive plan and design strategies to update optimize and implement best practices for Zscaler. The role entails a blend of architecture (25%) and engineering (75%) tasks.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect a migration plan from Cisco to Zscaler ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to operations.
- Design and implement strategies to optimize Zscalers performance ensuring it meets the clients efficiency and effectiveness requirements.
- Assess and enhance Zscalers mobile support capabilities on both Windows and iOS/Android platforms with a focus on minimizing reliance on Cisco solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend alternative product solutions if necessary to augment Zscalers mobile support capabilities.
- Utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience particularly with Intune to streamline device management processes.
- Leverage Azure expertise to integrate Zscaler effectively within the clients Azure environment.
- Implement best practices to enhance user experience with Zscaler particularly in alignment with Windows 11 environments.
Qualifications:
**Required: **
- 810 years of proven experience in Zscaler architecture and engineering.
- 8 years of demonstrated experience in Cisco networking and security.
- Familiarity with applications across Zscaler and Cisco on Windows and iOS/Android platforms.
- Proficiency in SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions with a strong inclination towards a Cloudfirst approach.
- Track record of successfully migrating projects from Cisco to Zscaler.
- Ability to redesign optimize and implement Zscaler best practices.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) specifically with Intune.
- 45 years of handson experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Expertise in enhancing user experience with Zscaler on Windows 11 platforms.
