Senior Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant for a leading Oil & Gascompany based in Kuwait. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable/Receivable Management: Oversee and manage all activities related to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices payments and collections.
• Financial Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and management of the companys financial budget including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of all financial data entered into the accounting system and maintain comprehensive financial records.
• Audit Support: Assist in both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
• Compliance: Ensure that all financial operations are compliant with local laws regulations and company policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for various projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field.
• Experience: 57 years of relevant experience in accounting preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Certifications: Professional certifications in finance or accounting (e.g. CPA CMA) are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel. Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
