Windows Engineer

Job Summary:

The Windows Engineer will be responsible for the design implementation and management of Windows servers and workstations within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows operating systems server management and a deep understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and maintain Windows server and workstation environments ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Manage Windows Active Directory including user account management group policies and security permissions.
• Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and perform regular maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Implement and maintain Windows security policies including patch management and antivirus solutions.
• Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless integration between Windows systems and network infrastructure.
• Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades migrations and installations of new hardware and software.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
• Provide technical support and training to endusers on Windows applications and systems.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Windows systems and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g. MCSA MCSE) are a plus.
• Proven 2 years of experience as a Windows Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows Server and Windows 10/11) and associated technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory Group Policy DNS DHCP and other networking protocols.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. HyperV VMware) is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
