Job Description

Role: HRBenefits Specialist

Industry: Transportation

Location: Valdosta GA or Albany GA

Shifts: Days MF

Remote or Hybrid Options: NONEIN Office (Valdosta or Albany GA)

Salary Range: $20.00 $25.00/Hour

Type: Fulltime/NonExempt/Benefits

Overview:

We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced HR Payroll/Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will assist the HR Manager in managing various HR functions including payroll processing benefits administration and compliance. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll and benefits operations.


Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration or other HRrelated roles
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Associate or bachelors degree preferred
  • HR Professional certifications a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and other company benefits.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits policies to new employees.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits eligibility and claims.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers and ensure timely processing of enrollments changes and terminations.
  • Monthly benefits reconciliation

HR Support:

  • Assist the HR Manager with the recruitment process including job postings resume screening and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the HRIS system.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required government reports related to payroll and benefits.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual benefits statements and other required documentation.

Payroll Processing:

  • Accurately process bimonthly payroll for all employees.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations.
  • Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed.

Employee Relations:

  • Provide support to employees regarding payroll and benefits issues.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns and escalating issues to the HR Manager when necessary.
  • Participate in employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
