Head of Compliance

Our client a rapidly growing FCA advisory firm based in Wolverhampton, renowned for revolutionising compliance within the motor finance sector in the UK is seeking a Head of Compliance. The company has made significant strides in consumer credit compliance, successfully authorising more retailers in the UK than any other firm and maintaining 600 more clients. Through their innovative approaches, including a bespoke app and proprietary compliance system, our is transforming the compliance landscape. For this Head of Compliance role, the client is offering a salary of up to 60,000.

What Does the Role Entail?

You will lead and shape compliance policy and operations as the Head of Compliance. You will lead and develop the compliance team of 16, implementing robust compliance measures, and advising the senior management team on strategic compliance matters. You will maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, conduct regulatory changes, and provide necessary guidance. Additionally, you will oversee all compliance, manage the KPI and MI reports, and act as a deputy for the Compliance Director. You will also manage regulatory inquiries, educate employees on compliance requirements, foster a compliance culture, and update policies and procedures.

What Skills Will You Have?

You will have a strong understanding of consumer credit compliance and experience in developing and executing Compliance Monitoring Plans. Familiarity with the FCA Handbook and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement are essential. You will have a proven track record of managing compliance professionals and delivering high-standard compliance reviews is crucial. Having relevant qualifications such as ICA certifications in Compliance and Governance or CeMap are also important. Additionally, you should be motivated, confident, adaptable, and possess an adaptive skill set.

The Head of Compliance, the position offers a competitive salary between 50,000- 60,000, 22 days of holiday plus bank holidays, your birthday off, and additional days based on service tenure.
