Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the daytoday activities of the accounting department including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. This role requires strong leadership skills attention to detail and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the accounting team providing guidance training and support.
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage the monthend and yearend closing processes including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Review and approve accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends variances and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate and support annual audits and tax filings.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience in agricultural or manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles practices and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and MS Office Suite particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
