The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HR department ensuring efficient HR service delivery and supporting HR initiatives. This role involves supervising HR staff handling employee relations and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor HR staff including HR Assistants and Coordinators.
- Provide guidance and support to HR team members on daily tasks and HR projects.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Oversee the recruitment process including job postings interviews and candidate selection.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires including orientation and training.
- Employee Relations:
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution between employees and management.
- Promote a positive work environment and culture.
- Compliance and RecordKeeping:
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal state and local labor laws.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist in audits and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Policy Implementation:
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Communicate policies to employees and ensure understanding and adherence.
- Update policies as needed to reflect changes in laws and company practices.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for employees.
- Support employee development initiatives and career advancement opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in the implementation of performance appraisal systems.
- Support managers in conducting performance reviews and setting employee goals.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching as needed.
- Benefits Administration:
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs.
- Assist employees with benefitsrelated inquiries and issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of benefits enrollment and changes.
- HR Reporting and Analytics:
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports for management.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement based on HR data.
- Support strategic HR planning with datadriven insights.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of HR experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Certifications: Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP SHRMSCP PHR SPHR) preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Indepth knowledge of HR practices labor laws and regulations.
