Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and detailoriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting updating and maintaining data within our database systems. This role is crucial to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our company's records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry:

    • Accurately input data from various source documents into the company database.
    • Update and maintain existing data entries as required.
  • Data Verification:

    • Verify the accuracy and completeness of data by reviewing source documents.
    • Identify and correct any discrepancies or errors found during the verification process.
  • Data Maintenance:

    • Organize and maintain digital and physical records.
    • Ensure data is backed up regularly to prevent loss.
  • Reporting:

    • Generate and prepare routine reports from the database.
    • Assist with data analysis as required by management.
  • Confidentiality:

    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with company policies.
  • Communication:

    • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
    • Respond promptly to data requests and inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.

  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
