About Us:

GROW Women Leaders is seeking to hire Sales Associates. In this role you will be responsible for Sales and Product Knowledge Transaction Processing Building Customer Relationships and Achieve Sales Goals. Your contributions will help us work towards our mission of empowering women particularly immigrants and BIWoC to secure employment and advance their careers.



Job Description:

The Sales Associate will assist customers with their shopping needs drive sales through excellent customer service and support store operations. This role requires a proactive approach a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Assist customers in locating products answering inquiries and providing detailed information about merchandise.

  • Offer personalized recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the store s products including features benefits and pricing.

  • Promote and upsell products to meet sales targets and enhance the customer s shopping experience.

  • Stay informed about current promotions discounts and sales events.

  • Complete necessary paperwork including daily sales reports and inventory logs.

  • Stay updated with company policies procedures and product information.

  • Report any suspicious activities or discrepancies to management.

  • Participate in sales initiatives promotions and store events to boost sales performance.

  • Follow up with customers after purchases to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback.




Responsibilities:


  • Offer suggestions based on customer needs and preferences guiding them towards suitable products.

  • Strive to achieve individual and store sales goals by effectively engaging with customers and closing sales.

  • Stay updated on new products services and promotions and continue learning about the industry and customer trends.

  • Follow store policies procedures and standards including those related to sales returns and loss prevention.

  • Collaborate with other sales associates and store staff to maintain a cohesive work environment and ensure smooth store operations.

  • Assist in training new employees sharing product knowledge and sales techniques.

  • Refer complex or unresolved issues to management or appropriate personnel when necessary.

  • Follow up with customers after their purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

  • Assist with inventory counts report discrepancies and participate in restocking efforts.




Skills and Qualification:


  • Clearly explain product features benefits and promotions to customers.

  • Actively listen to understand customer needs and preferences.

  • Accurately record information and communicate with customers via email or messaging.

  • Handle challenging situations and difficult customers with calmness and professionalism.

  • Convince customers of the value of products and encourage purchases.

  • Suggest additional products that complement the customers initial purchase.

  • Successfully close sales and secure customer purchases.

  • Stay updated on new product lines industry trends and competitor offerings.

  • Ensure accuracy in transactions inventory management and product displays.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with pointofsale (POS) systems and other retail technologies.
