You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:
1. Contract Position Title. Catholic Music Accompanist
2. Scope of Responsibilities. Serve as the Catholic Music Accompanist for Minot AFB Catholic Service programs. These programs include weekly Mass weekly choir rehearsal and special events. A base period of one weekly worship 52 weeks one weekly rehearsal 52 weeks and occasional special services/events 9 each Total of up to 113 events yearly and up to five years of service.
3. Education Experience and Personal Requirement.
3.1 The Accompanist should have at least two years experience playing piano. Prior experience in church/chapel settings is preferred. The contractor must be an accomplished pianist and must be able to sightread music from the Oregon Catholic Press (OCP) series GIA/Gather and other music specified by the Catholic Chaplain and Catholic Music Director.
3.2 Must be familiar with and able to blend various musical instruments in the worship service.
3.3 Provide one reference from supervisor of last position a resume and if available one clergy reference.
3.4 Must dress conservatively commensurate with the prudent expectations at each worship service.
3.5 Undergo successful background criminal history check at local state and national levels
3.6 Have working knowledge of audiovisual equipment such as sound systems and projectors.
3.7 Be interviewed and audition before a Chaplain Corps interview panel during bidding process. Audition panel may include Music Director (or designee) and Catholic Chaplain.
4. General Responsibilities. The Catholic Music Accompanist will:
4.1 Under Coordinate and collaborate with the Catholic Music Director to attend and perform at; Worship Rehearsals Sunday Service Special Services and Special Events.
5. Specific Responsibilities. The Catholic Music Accompanist will:
5.1. Prepare for and attend scheduled rehearsals Mass and special services/events. Worship services begin at 1000 on Sundays and end normally not later than 1130. Prepare for and conduct regular rehearsal prepare the Catholic Choirs to sing hymns praise and worship choruses and other appropriate music for the regular Sunday Catholic Mass.
5.2. Adhere to music/all copyright laws.
5.3. Exercise proper care over chapel music equipment and ensure that there are procedures in effect to protect and safeguard such equipment and to ensure that it is kept in serviceable condition.
5.4. Submit appropriate requests for new equipment replacements and repair to The Catholic Music Director and/or Catholic Chaplain.
