Pump Mechanic

In this critical role youll be responsible for:

• Precision Pump Maintenance: Disassemble troubleshoot and reassemble various types and sizes of pumps and blowers ensuring optimal performance.
  
• InDepth Inspections: Conduct thorough mechanical and visual inspections to identify potential issues and root causes of failures.
  
• DataDriven Decisions: Document detailed "AsFound" data and recommend effective repair solutions based on your findings.
  
• Quality Assurance: Perform hydrostatic pressure testing and criteria acceptance testing to guarantee pump functionality before customer delivery.
  
• ProblemSolving Expertise: Analyze complex pump problems and implement solutions that meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  
• Shop Floor Efficiency: Effectively clean and prepare pump components for repairs utilizing various shop equipment.
  
• Safety Leadership: Oversee safe lifting and rigging of heavy equipment (up to 25 tons) while adhering to all safety protocols.
  
• Knowledge Sharing: Lead and mentor less experienced mechanics fostering a collaborative work environment.
  
• Balancing Expertise: Balance rotating pump assemblies to industry standards using advanced shop balancing equipment.

• Technical Expertise: Demonstrates a strong understanding of pump mechanics including interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
  
• Electrical Knowledge (Bonus): Has a basic understanding of 3phase electricity and familiarity with standard electrical testing equipment (training provided if necessary).
  
• Measurement Mastery: Proficient in using various mechanical measuring tools like micrometers calipers and depth gauges.
  
• ProblemSolving Skills: Can analyze complex problems consider multiple factors and implement effective solutions.
