Senior Site Superintendent

New City Contracting is currently hiring a Senior Site Superintendent with extensive experience in managing largescale mechanical and electrical projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of onsite construction ensuring compliance with company standards on safety quality cost control and timely delivery.

Location: Richmond BC

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to schedule and plan construction activities
• Provide regular progress reports to the Construction Project Manager
• Oversee daily signins and signouts via Sitemax
• Coordinate material requirements with the Project Coordinator on a weekly basis
• Attend and actively participate in site meetings with trades and engineers
• Record and maintain minutes for biweekly engineerdriven meetings
• Supervise and ensure the quality of trades work and installations
• Address and resolve any issues with trades as they arise
• Supervise coordinate and schedule the daily activities of trades
• Manage work coordination with subcontractors
• Ensure safe working conditions are consistently maintained onsite
• Follow up on SVR and SI to ensure trade completeness and QA
• Ensure that trades complete work according to POs and COs

Requirements:

• 15 years of experience as a Construction Site Superintendent with a focus on large mechanical and electrical projects
• A degree or diploma in a related field along with relevant bonding and certifications
• Strong negotiation conflict resolution and people management skills
• Indepth knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Experience in preparing and conducting postimplementation evaluations
• Proven ability to create realistic schedules and ensure timely project completion
• Demonstrated cost control measures and strong project management abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple conflicting demands effectively
• Strong delegation skills with the ability to set expectations and monitor progress
