Senior Power Platform Engineer

Our customer is a toptier investment bank with client assets of hundreds of billion globally.
Orinocco is a workflow platform used on automation of various business processes by middleoffice team.Its technologies varies from Java to Tibco and its deployed on dedicated machines as well as cloud platforms.Applications are using Docker and Openshift but not only. Application as well as simple web servers are used.
While the new services are using HTTP/Rest there are still components that are using JMS (EMS implementation) . Oracle is the preferred data base system.We enjoy doing scrum and continuous improvement so we hope you like it as much as we do.

Responsibilities

As a Power Platform Senior Engineer you will play a critical role in designing implementing and optimizingPower BI and RPA solutions within our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

• Understand the overall architecture and solution implemented around Power Platform and M365 ecosystem.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and architect to understand business requirements control functions requirement and own the roll out Power BI and other Power Platform components.
• Assess the capabilities of Power BI and compare them with other BI tools (e.g. Tableau QlikView).
• Provide recommendations on when and how to use Power BI effectively based on business need.
• Present different design to SDA CSO Architects to get their approval on various solution as and when required.
• Leverage your overall understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to integrate Power BI with other Microsoft tools (e.g. SharePoint Teams Dynamics 365).
• Ensure seamless data flow and collaboration across different lineofbusiness applications.
• Create best practices documents to guide development teams in using Power BI efficiently.
• Deliver various documents related with Power Platform for operation and end users.
• Document and tracks any risks issues dependencies in relation to the Power Bi deliverables and ensures that they are tracked within the Project RAID log and either resolves or escalates as appropriate.
• Conduct training sessions for end users business analysts and developers on Power BI best practices data modeling and report creation.

Skills

• Solid and proven understanding and ability in analytical tools like Power BI Power Platformand integration with other Microsoft 365 service
• Solid understanding of Cloud SaaS and deployment of tools at enterprise level.
• Good Understanding of AD Azure AD and Network components required for onpremise to online migrations.
• Hands on experience on any reporting tool preferably Power Bi and troubleshooting migration issues and logs.
• Working knowledge of Agile and SDLC tools like JIRA Bit Bucket Artifactory etc.
• Familiarity with RPA tools (e.g. UiPath Blue Prism) is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
• Proven experience as a Power Platform Engineer
• Strong expertise in Power BI including data modeling DAX and report development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. Power Platform Power BI) preferred.
