About the Role
The Accounting Manager is a supervisory role with comprehensive responsibility for the casino's financial affairs.This position oversees the daily operations of the accounting and finance functions utilizing available resources to address financial matters both large and small ensuring the organization's ongoing success.
Responsibilities
- Supervise oversee and evaluate the accounting department's tasks including the General Ledger Accounts Payable Payroll revenue and expense recording balance sheet reconciliations fixed asset management and inventory.
- Handle the monthend General Ledger closure process to ensure the financial statements' precision and completeness.
- Guarantee an accurate and prompt monthly quarterly and yearly closing process.
- Ensure the timely submission of all monthly financial data.
- Monitor and analyze departmental activities to enhance procedures and resource utilization while maintaining high accuracy.
- Provide training to both new and current staff as necessary.
- Collaborate with each direct report to set yearly goals and objectives and provide guidance on their progress to foster professional growth.
- Keep a wellorganized and detailed set of records and files to document financial transactions.
- Assign tasks and inspect work for accuracy neatness and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure they fully understand their expenses and general accounting processes.
- Help manage capital expenditures for both small and large projects.
- Compile comprehensive reports from individual subordinate reports as required by management or government agencies.
- Establish work procedures prepare schedules and expedite workflow.
- Adhere to regulatory departmental and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications is essential.
- Must present a professional appearance and maintain impeccable integrity.

- Familiarity with financial software systems is required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
