Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging procedures such as Xrays MRIs CT scans and ultrasounds
• Collaborating with other medical specialists to interpret and discuss imaging results
• Providing accurate and detailed reports of imaging findings to referring physicians
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in diagnostic imaging
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans
• Staying updated with advancements in radiology and diagnostic imaging technology
• Supervising and training junior radiology staff and technologists
• Providing expert consultation and guidance to referring physicians and healthcare providers
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures results and potential treatment options

Required Qualifications:

• MD in Radiology from a recognized institution
• DNB (Diplomate of National Board) certification in Radiology
• DMRD (Diploma in Medical Radiodiagnosis) qualification
• Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist Consultant
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Radiologist with a focus on diagnostic imaging and interpretation
• Proven expertise in interpreting various imaging modalities including Xrays MRIs CT scans and ultrasounds
• Strong understanding of medical ethics and patient confidentiality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic interpretation and reporting
• Uptodate knowledge of technological advancements and best practices in radiology
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
• Experience in mentoring and supervising junior radiology staff and technologists
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high caseload efficiently
