Job Description

Overview:

The staff nurse plays a crucial role in providing quality patient care in the healthcare facility located in Bandra West. They are responsible for coordinating with the medical team implementing patient care plans and ensuring the wellbeing of patients. The staff nurse is an integral part of the healthcare team and is required to adhere to industry best practices and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing patient health needs and developing nursing care plans
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Monitoring and recording patient vital signs and medical information
  • Collaborating with the medical team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
  • Ensuring that patient rooms and equipment are clean and in order
  • Participating in educational programs and support groups for patients and families
  • Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Adhering to industry regulations and ethical standards in patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • Active nursing license in the state of Maharashtra
  • Proven experience as a staff nurse in a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize patient needs
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare software
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities
  • Demonstrated empathy and compassion towards patients
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety standards
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Compliance with all mandatory health and safety training
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
